Please see attachment below for this weekend's itinerary. A few reminders: Be sure to complete any homework you may have for school tomorrow. Be sure you are prepared for all of your classes after our busy weekend. Be in attendance at school this week so that we can improve ourselves for Saturday's performance. If you or your parents would like a Music In Motion t-shirt they are $12.00. We have a few larger sizes left, but small and medium have been sold out. The weather looks good this week, though tomorrow is supposed to be chilly. Tomorrow's high is 59 degrees. Dress appropriately for practice. Thanks for a GREAT weekend! ![]()

Louisville High School Band
Ravenna Football Game September 12, 2014 5:30pm In seats for attendance (report in full uniform) 6:10pm Parade block for uniform inspection 6:15pm March to stadium 6:25pm Play at Tailgate Party 7:15pm Pregame 7:30pm Game Time 10:00pm Game ends, march back to band room There is a fireworks display after the game. It is approximately 10 minutes long. We will stay seated and have been asked to play the Fight Songs when it concludes. Other important information: 1. Meet in FULL UNIFORM. Please wear your summer uniform underneath your blue uniform. 2. Bring your band raincoat. We will be having a band party after the game until midnight. Cost is this FREE this week due to a band parent who has generously donated the pizza! Thank you! This week there is NO PRACTICE on Monday due to Labor Day. We will be practicing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The itinerary for Friday is below:
North Canton Football Game Friday Sept. 5, 2014 5:00 p.m. Report/Load/Attendance 5:30 p.m. Depart for North Canton Stadium 7:00 p.m. Game Time 10:30 p.m. Arrive back at L.H.S. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. Meet in band pants and shoes. You may hang the band coat in your garment bag along with the straps, gloves and hat until we arrive at Hoover Stadium 2. Bring your band raincoat. Wear your summer uniform under the band uniform. 3. Remember to fill out an alternative transportation form and turn it into the band office before we leave the school if you are not returning on the bus. Parents and students,
I just received word from the Fair that our practice today is CANCELLED due to the field being unusable from the recent rain that we have had. There will not be a make-up practice at the fairgrounds. Weather permitting, the fair show will still take place next Tuesday evening 8/26 as previously scheduled (see previous blog post, Facebook, and email that was sent for details). We will be practicing today at LHS until 5pm. Mr. B. Parents, please see the PDF below for all band info for the next two weeks or so. Parents,
On Thursday Aug. 14th we will be having our band preview and tailgate. This is a nice evening as we all share food, fellowship, and of course good music! Please bring your family, lawn chairs, folding tables, table service, and food to share (casseroles, salads, desserts, sandwiches, etc.). We ask that you bring enough food that would feed your family. The Band Boosters will provide orange drink from McDonalds, but feel free to bring anything else you would like. We will be eating at 6:00 P.M. followed by the introduction and performance of the 2014-2015 L.H.S. Marching Band. Cars should enter the football stadium through the gate on Silver Street and form two parallel lines behind the visitor stands about 30 feet apart. In this area we will form a long line of card tables and folding tables to place the food. (If you have an extra table to bring for food set up, please bring it to ensure that we have enough.) For the band performance, please sit in the home stands between the 40 yard lines. The band will begin performing around 7:00 P.M. Band members: Please wear your summer uniform. (band shorts, band t shirt, white crew socks, and band shoes) The band members are excited to share what they have learned so far this season. We hope to see everyone there!
The Hall of Fame Grand Parade is Saturday August 2. Below is the itinerary for the morning: 6:15am - All students report to the band room in full uniform 6:45am - Buses depart for Downtown Canton 7:15am - Unload buses and enter staging area for further instructions from Hall of Fame Officials 8:00am - Parade begins (we are in the last third of the parade, so we will not step off until well after 8:00am) 11:00am - Approx. return to Louisville Important Reminders: Drink plenty of fluids on Friday night and Saturday morning. Eat a good breakfast Saturday morning before reporting to the band room. Wear your summer uniform (blue band shorts and band t-shirt) under your full uniform.
